Experience: Sean is managing partner of McMahon Clarke Legal. He joined the firm in 1997 and specialises in advising our private clients and SME’s on their personal and business succession planning needs.

In particular, clients seek Sean's expert advice on-

  • administration of estates  
     
  • formulation of estate plans and drafting of associated documents, and
     
  • commercial advice regarding drafting of shareholder agreements and unit holder agreements particularly in relation to ‘exit’ events and business succession.

Sean has a particular interest and expertise in advising clients with significant estates on estate planning solutions which facilitate the passing of family wealth onto the next generation in a way which is efficient and protects the estate assets from any potential attack.

Sean’s focus is on understanding the personal circumstances of his clients and then applying techniques to ensure the distribution and protection of family wealth in a practical and tax efficient manner.

Sean presents regularly to accountants, advisor groups and their clients on the importance of business succession, estate planning, recent developments and the strategies that McMahon Clarke Legal applies for its clients. He also edits our “Private Client” quarterly newsletter.
