
Experience: Mark joined McMahon Clarke Legal in 2005 as a partner to develop and lead the commercial property team. Property industry and associated commercial and legal work is Mark’s focus area and specialisation. He advises commercial clients in the following areas:
- Major commercial property transactions in all property sectors.
- Property projects—acting for developers, including commercial and residential strata title developments.
- All forms of leasing for landlords or tenants, including for retail and other specialised properties.
Mark has particular expertise in the hotel, motel and resort sectors of the property industry having acted on the acquisition and disposal of properties and advised owners and operators on matters such as—
- liquor licensing
- gaming machine licensing, and
- general compliance issues.
Holding associate membership with the Queensland Hotel Association and the Property Council of Australia, Mark stays at the forefront with industry knowledge and provides briefings for clients on topical industry issues.
Having held responsibility for a national law firm's Queensland commercial property division, Mark has a high level of property industry expertise. He was admitted as a solicitor in 1993.
