The Property Group is a reflection of our firm’s ongoing commitment to the provision of specialised legal services in the areas in which we practice. 

Our team provides expert property law and related commercial advice to our clients within a broad range of property sectors and also works closely with the firm’s corporate, funds management, agribusiness and private client specialists to provide expert property law advice to the firm’s clients in those areas.

The Property Group delivers timely, accurate and commercial legal advice for property investors and developers.  Additionally, the firm’s background in the property funds and agribusiness sectors gives the members of the team a unique understanding of the legal and commercial issues relating to acquisition, development, management and disposal of properties owned by clients operating in those industries.

Austar United Communications Limited

Drafted, negotiated and managed all commercial leases for Austar properties in Queensland on their entry into Australia.

Rewards Agribusiness

Acted for Rewards Land in its teak agribusiness schemes acquisition of twelve North Queensland plantation sites.

Manage leasing portfolio for a substantial private landowner in Queensland, comprising retail, commercial and industrial property.

Reed Funds Management Limited

Acted for the Reed Property Trust in the establishment of the trust and the acquisition of three retail/bulky goods shopping centres in South East Queensland.

Goldpin Tenpin Bowling proprietors

Acted for private operators of tenpin bowling centres on the sale and leaseback of a portfolio of commercial/retail properties to AMF Corporation.

Forest Enterprises Australia  Agribusiness (FEA)

Acted for FEA in its acquisition of a number of South-East Queensland plantation sites.

Major Hotel leasing

Acted for the owners of accommodation of hotels in negotiating leases with Mirvac (Victoria), Crowne Plaza (New South Wales), Somerset Apartments (Victoria), All Seasons Hotels and Resorts (New South Wales), and Broadwater Hospitality (Western Australia).

Pub & Tavern work

Members of the team have acted for some of the largest publicans in Queensland in relation to:

§      The acquisition and sale of numerous pubs and taverns.

§     Site development, including assistance in obtaining liquor   licensing and gaming approvals.

§    Advice on all aspects of gaming and liquor licensing compliance.
